Morrissey and I loved the Spice Girls.
What song would you like played at your funeral?
I actually made a playlist for my funeral, but I forget what songs I chose. Probably a lot of Nick Cave.
Do you recall the first album you bought?
A Sex Pistols record (my father loaned me the $4) and No Doubt “Tragic Kingdom” on cd in 1996. I had to save my pocket money for nearly a month.

Nirvana, Swans, Bikini Kill and The Birthday Party. Please.

I would have to say Swans, Flipper, The Birthday Party, The Smiths, Black Flag, The Raincoats, Bikini Kill, Fugazi, Bad Brains, Joy Division and Nirvana. A million more, obviously. More recently, I really like a band called New Bloods.

My Smiths and Morrissey t-shirts. My Swans one, because it is signed by Michael Gira. I would love a Vaselines t-shirt.

Anything by Nirvana or Bob Dylan.
Do your parents ever object to anything you’re listening to?
No, they are quite open-minded.
